24 Hours of Disaster Response Training Under Realistic Conditions

Last weekend, emergency response teams from Dresden, Chemnitz and Leipzig took part in a disaster response exercise at a military training area in northern Saxony.

For the first time, the exercise ran continuously for 24 hours, featuring realistic operational conditions and shift changes to simulate the demands of an extended emergency response.

The ICCAS team also took part in the exercise. As part of the training, EOS, an information system designed for international disaster response teams, was successfully tested under realistic operational conditions.

During the exercise, our colleague Jan Gaebel also gave a short, impromptu interview with MDR MITTELDEUTSCHER RUNDFUNK, discussing the field testing of EOS.
