VOLTA
Validation Of Model-Based Therapy Decision Support in Hematology
Validation of model-based therapy decision support in hematology: KAIT, the platform for multiple myeloma developed with the hematology department at Leipzig University Hospital since 2020, is being expanded, tested and optimized for routine practice.

Thanks to advances in medical research, physicians now have more effective cancer treatments, but increasingly personalized drugs create challenges in integrating complex diagnostic and therapeutic data. Since 2020, ICCAS at University Medicine Leipzig, together with the Department of Hematology, Cell Therapy, and Hemostaseology at University Hospital Leipzig, has developed “KAIT”, an IT platform to analyze medical information and support therapeutic decisions for multiple myeloma.
KAIT aims to give physicians up-to-date treatment insights so decisions are based on current knowledge, improving care for myeloma patients across Germany. Under the VOLTA project, KAIT is being expanded, tested, and optimized with clinical experts to become a reliable, secure tool in routine practice.
