The aim of the CortexMap project is to develop a navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation system for non-invasive mapping of the motor cortex in patients with brain tumors. A new system for integration into the surgical workflow, including the necessary hardware components and new software functionalities, was developed. An electromyography device with multiple electrodes for measuring motor evoked potentials (MEPs) enables faster and more precise examination.

Functionalities for automatic adjustment of stimulation intensity and for post-processing of MEPs were implemented. Visualization and data analysis functions support the surgeon in interpreting the data. This is intended to make the monitoring of patients before and after surgical treatment more efficient.
